Soft ruby red in colour. Clean, persistent bouquet, tones of geranium blossom mingled with green pepper. Dry palate with tannic aftertaste, bitterish finish.

Zone of production: Portacomaro
This wine is produced exclusively in the Asti and Monferrato areas, and is particular and demanding for both producers and drinkers. The Grignolino area comprises 35 villages in the Asti region to thenorth and south of the main town, with roughly 432 acres of vineyard worked by around 650 producers. Annual production is 2 million bottles per year.
Gastronomic accompaniments: this is a perfect wine for fish dishes (salt-baked sea bass, for example), white meat, and all kinds of pasta and rice.
To serve: serve at a temperature of 16°-18° C.
