The name chosen by Gancia for this new venture is "Capocroce" which defines the extremity of the church which usually hosts the choir. DOC located in the piedmont region in northwestern Italy near the town of Alba. The wines from this area are regarded as some of the best made from the barbera grape. Although they're some of the more robust of the Barberas, they should be drunk within 3 to 4 years of the vintage date.

Gancia has once more deepened its roots further into the warm, fertile soil of Sicily because the strong and indissolubile presence of tradition combined with culture and nature throughout Sicily has transformed the legend of wine into something of a sacred rite.

The fifth generation of the dynasty spumantiera Piedmont has set for the debut of Sapi'ri a production of fifty-two thousand bottles for the year 2005. The baby wine be added to Pulvino, produced in the cellars always Capocroce and obtained from grape Grillo, and three red labels that produces Vallarino Gancia in Sicily: Addumari, Nartece and Pulpit.
