Vodka quality is dependent on its destillation process and water. Only the purest water and grain is used and, under the watchful eye of a master distiller, small batch destillation is undertaken. In order to filter out even the slightest impurities, distillation take place three time in traditional copper stills. Finally, the vodka is slowly filtered through charcoal, giving the vodka its softness. The result is a crystal clear vodka ready to be blended with cognac and tropical fruit juices.

The mixing of fine cognacs and fresh fruit juices is a time-honored tradition in the French Charentais area. To ensure the best taste and aroma of the final product, which must after blending retain its distinctive taste characteristics, only the best quality cognacs can be used. Following centuries old tradition, cognac is distilled for a significant amount of time in copper stills and aged in oak barrels.

This requires cognac to be sourced from the traditional bastions of cognac manufacturing; Petite Champagne for its elegance, a dash of Fins Bois for its delicateness and a small dose of Borderies for its exceptional flowery bouquet. Finally, the alcohol level is lowered to 17%, which is HPNOTIQ's optimal base strength, yet allows is grow when mixed with other stronger distillates such as vodka.
