"12 years and 9 centuries in the making. Dievole released its first not entirely traditional field-blend with the 1999 Broccato-vintage - twelve years in the making. A generously proportioned field blend of mothervine Sangiovese and young vine Merlot and Cabernet Franc - a third each. This is a modern Tuscan red named after its satiny and forceful texture. The other non-native grapes elected to join Dievole's vine population - and Broccato eventually - are: Petit Verdot and Syrah - by virtue of their trueness to varietal type and terroir."
