Armagnac is a magical combination of spirit, oak and time. It is a product of the Gasgony people close to their soil, distilled to deliver the same aroma and flavour today as it did all those centuries ago. Armagnac Comte de Lauvia is produced in the heart of the Gasgony region of France from the Ugni Blanc and the rare Folle Blanche grapes - the two grapes best suited to the production of Armagnac. The warm climate and sandy soil yield full flavoured grapes which are distilled at an uniquely low strength, preserving more of the richly flavoured elements and strong rustic character of true Armagnac.
Aged and matured in big and famous cellar known as "The Cathedral" stocked with 1800 casks of black oak from the local forests, the cellar master J.C.Dallas chooses from different casks a blend of perfect harmony for each age of Armagnac bearing the name of Comte de Lauvia, which has been recognised as one of the finest Armagnac's in the world with massive success in international tasting competitions.
