This is refined, somewhat smoky wine, the stuff that dreams are made of - for an aftermoon or at desrt time, with a perhaps a rasberry and charlotte or a red fruit coulis.

The House of Delamotte was founded in 1760 and has always been located in the heart of the Côte des Blancs in Mesnil-sur-Oger.

In 1988, the House of Delamotte joined forces with the very famous champagne Salon under the umbrella of the parent company, Laurent-Perrier and Bernard de Nonancourt was named President.

The Chardonnay grape that we use to produce our various wines comes principally from three villages, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize and Oger all classified 100% Grand Crus. The Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier used for both the Brut and Rosé champagne come from vineyards in Bouzy, Tours-sur-Marne and Ambonnay.

Champagne Bonnaire

The Champagne BONNAIRE estate is settled in Cramant, south of Epernay, in the Côte des Blancs area, home of the chardonnay, the most famous white grape of Champagne.

Fernand Bouquemont, the maternal grandfather of Jean-Louis Bonnaire made there his first bottle in 1932. It was the beginning of a great adventure which André Bonnaire, Fernand's son-in-law,undertook to develop the family vineyard which counts today more than 22 hectares.

The history of the Bonnaire house illustrates well the devotedness, from generation to generation, to this particular spirit of a "Côte des Blancs" winegrower.

And Jean-Louis Bonnaire wants to do more. Not only he gives to his house champagnes that respect the tradition, but also champagnes that fit up contemporary vinification.

While the term "champagne" is used by some makers of sparkling wine in other parts of the world, numerous countries limit the use of the term to only those wines that come from the Champagne appellation. In Europe, this principle is enshrined in the European Union by Protected Design... read more »
