Tha difference between Vintage (Millesime) Cognac and traditional cognac V.S., V.S.O.P. or X.O. signatures is that every bottle of Millesime contains only Cognac made of grapes from that particular vintage / year. The vintage eau-de-vie is used even for compensation of natural losses which occurs while ageing in oak barrels - the so-called 'angel's share'.
